This book elucidates our creative work of the last ten years. The main focus consists of a selection of buildings that are presented in detail, accompanied by a supplementary section that we consider as an atlas. The concept refines the experiences we gathered from our first comprehensive book publication, Buchner Bründler Buildings, which was compiled to accompany the eponymous exhibition at ETH Zurich. At the time, the exhibition and the book were conceived as separate enti- ties that mutually supplemented and enriched one another. Derived from a selection of buildings, large-scale models were specially produced, primarily in concrete, generating a physical spatial presence as actual artifacts. This correspondingly led in the first monograph to a clear-cut distinction between the built and the projected, with a focus on visually conveying the built works. This second book project likewise explores the same mediatory dialogue, allowing us to not only reflect on our own works, processes, and methodologies but also leading to the question which approximations of reality, which intellectual perspectives and visual languages, could be interwoven in order to successfully do so. Following on from the first volume, the aim of Buchner Bründler Buildings II is to elaborate this intention further. In a renewed joint effort with Ludovic Balland this led to an editorial dialogue, culminating in the devising of interpretive visual compositions. The post-production processes were mainly chosen in order to provide a more in-depth representation of the characteristic features and conceptual catalysts of the respective individual architectural project. The examinations of the selected buildings from an external viewpoint expand the classic image sequences to form a dialogical principle. The depiction of architecture is tied to composi- tion and the momentum of time. The chosen methodology creates layers of association that establish a multitude of new interpretations.
