Two six storey housing blocks located on the quayside in central Jönköping, Sweden.

An outer layer of balconies provide all apartments with outdoor spaces. A screen of aluminium trellis diffuses the light and creates a buffer zone between inside and outside.
Starting with a low-energy, long-term sustainable perspective, this project set out to create attractive housing on one of the best sites in Jönköping.
The apartments are organised around a large vertical illuminated stairwell. With the majority of the apartments located in the corners, they benefit from good natural light and views.
