The house is located at the border of the beautiful Zonien forest and is built in order to have a maximum profit of its presence. As such the house is partly cut out of the natural topography of the plot; at the back side it equals the ground level, at the street side it is excavated 1.5 m. This allows maximal contact with the forest from the house as well as from the street.

The garage is a box situated at street level; from the street a stair goes down 1.5 m towards the entrance of the house. Inside the house, the different rooms are simply juxtaposed in a grid and are separated with translucent, transparent or white painted wooden dividing walls. These room high walls are composed of big sliding parts allowing opening or closing different spaces.
