How can Greenland connect to the world?
The project spins off from the Greenlandic political discussion on the need for an international airport in Nuuk and the imminence of upgrading Nuuk’s industrial harbor. From the lack of an efficient domestic aviation system, rapidly growing industry potentials and an inevitable climate change putting Greenland in the sportlight of the future maritime cargo world map, the potentials of an upgraded airport and harbor becomes evident. Rather than seeing these major infrastructural investments as two separate activities the project elaborates on the idea of merging the two in one coherent sybiosis of transport systems.
