The building volume of the six apartments was deduced from the rural archetypes greenhouse and barn. The repetition of the roof-form is a reference to the typology of the greenhouses in this area of glass-horticulture. Each rooftop refers to an apartment.
The irregular form of the ground-plan was deducted from the building-site and the maximum built-up area. For this reason the roof-side on the left stretches out to one meter above surface. This was the building volume gets the character of a typical 19th century Kemper Barn.
